The day started like every other weekday with school. I had a midterm today in biology which was pretty easy. But that wasn’t the highlight of the day. It was the amazing ATV ride. We got done with school around 12 and left the house at 1:15 to head over to the ATV place which was pretty far, about a 45 minute drive. We got there at 2 and the guy told us we didn’t need to bring anything with us and that our guide will bring us towels and water. We were told that we stop at a hot spring which I was unaware off and did not bring a bathing suit. We went down to where the ATVs were to sign waivers and get set up. They had a barn at the bottom where they had mules, horses, a pig, and a goat, which was really loud. One of the horses was named handsome, this is because it had two different colored eyes! There was another horse which was my favorite named precious, it was a beautiful brown horse that loved attention. We got our helmets, went through the safety protocols, and got on the ATVs. We went through some sugar cane fields which was really cool because we got to see how they do their agriculture, slash and burn, and we even got to try some. We drove all up hill and stopped along the way to see some of the beautiful views. We got to the hot springs and it was buried in the jungle. When we got there we were all covered in dirt and dust. It was beautiful and had a bar there as well. There was a pool that was 48 degrees Celsius which is really hot. We left around 4:40 and took the paved road back to the barn. We went through some really cool town areas and got back around 6. We parked the ATVs and decided that we wanted pizza for dinner. We went to a really nice restaurant in La Fortuna called La Vid. I shared a pizza with Remi and I had some of her pasta. We finished up and got home at 8. We were all so tired and went to bed super early. What a fantastic day. The ATVs were amazing.
