Hey to all our friends and family following our adventure. We decided in early February to head to Costa Rica. This is not a typical vacation staying in hotels or resorts. We are actually living here and immersing ourselves in the Costa Rican way of life.
Life’s a Beach!
We had been discussing the idea of “living abroad” for some time but due to Covid and the changing/fluid restrictions both in the U.S. and abroad, it was something we weren’t sure we’d be able to do and would actually come to fruition.
Well, we were finally able to navigate the changing rules, restrictions and requirements for Covid and plan our trip to Costa Rica.
We departed Charlotte, NC on Saturday morning, Feb 20, 2021 and arrived in San Jose Saturday afternoon. We stayed just outside San Jose Saturday and departed Sunday morning for Quepos along the southern Pacific coast.
We are in Quepos till Thursday, March 4th and then heading to La Fortuna/Monteverde/Arenal for 9 days/8 nights. We depart La Fortuna on Friday, March 12th for a 3 day/2 night rafting trip before heading down to Los Pargos on Sunday, March 14th for 12 days/11 nights. The rest of our trip is yet to be decided.
